Closing ceremony of vocational skills training course sponsored by Investors of Lot 06.1 with 45,000 USD

Ba Ria – Vung Tau College of Technology has just held the Closing Ceremony of the Advanced Skills Training Course for Technicians in the field of technological pipe welding – position 6G and the profession of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering sponsored by Investors of Lot 06.1.

In October 2024, Zarubezhneft EP Vietnam and its partners in Block 06.1 – Indian Oil and Gas Company ONGC Videsh and Vietnam Oil and Gas Group agreed to sponsor 45,000 USD to Ba Ria – Vung Tau College of Technology to organize a training course to improve vocational skills and English for technicians in the field of Pipe Welding – 6G position and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineering.
The vocational skills training program has a duration of 350 hours, focusing on specialized skills, improving according to the production technology requirements of the enterprise. The English proficiency training program is designed with a duration of 60 hours. Of which, 80% of the time is for basic communication English training and 20% of the time is for specialized English training. 50% of the program time is directly taught by foreign lecturers.
Candidates who register for the program must pass an entrance exam organized by the school. Successful students are exempted from tuition fees for the entire course, and are supported with snacks and refreshments of 2.5 USD/student/school day. After graduation, most students have jobs in the field they were trained for.
With a total of 108 candidates registering for the entrance exam, the Admissions Council selected 50 students to attend the course. As a result, 100% of students completed the training program.
At the closing ceremony, the school’s Board of Directors and sponsor representatives awarded training certificates to 50 students; and rewarded 9 students who graduated with honors.
Since 2012, Zarubezhneft Vietnam (formerly Rosneft Vietnam) and its partners in Block 06.1 – ONGC Videsh and Petrovietnam have supported a total of 535,000 USD to provide vocational skills and English training to nearly 540 students. When participating in the course, in addition to being trained to improve professional skills, students are also trained in communication English and specialized English, helping students have job opportunities with better income, confidently meeting the increasingly high job requirements of employers.
