Ba Ria – Vung Tau College of Technology (formerly Ba Ria – Vung Tau Vocational School) was established under the Decision No. 400 / QD-UB dated 21/8/1998 of the People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. In 2006, the school was renamed Ba Ria-Vung Tau Vocational School. On 05/11/2010, the school was upgraded to Vocational Training College of Ba Ria – Vung Tau People’s Committee. From 30/5/2017, the school officially renamed Ba Ria – Vung Tau College of Technology (BCTECH). The school has been classified by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs as one of the key vocational education institutions with three national standard occupations, one occupation of ASEAN standard and two occupations of international standard..
By the Government, Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, General Department of Vocational Education, especially the provincial People’s Committee and international organizations focused investment, Ba Ria – Vung Tau College of Technology gradually became an educational institution Prestigious career, high quality in nearly 1000 colleges and universities across the country. To date, Ba Ria – Vung Tau College of Technology has four training facilities in Dat Do District, Tan Thanh District and Vung Tau City. All of them have modern and modern facilities and equipment that meet European standards and ensure good learning and practice of students in 18 fields of Electrical, Electronics and Mechanical. Gas, Information Technology, Food Technology, Fashion and Accounting. Of which, the base at 3/2, Vung Tau city has an area of 11.7 ha. This facility is currently being invested by the provincial People’s Committee in the first phase with the total funding of nearly VND 280 billion, together with the ODA from the Government of Japan amounting to nearly USD 10 million to focus on the development of the mechanical industry. This will be the most modern vocational education institution in Vietnam, focusing on training and providing high quality human resources for the whole country and the region.
